Store History

Blue Highway Games was established in 2007 by Scott Cooper and Brian Bennick. Blue Highway started out in a spare room of a local Seattle apartment then later that year made the big move into the current retail space on Queen Anne Ave. For 7 years Scott and Brian worked hard together to build up the business into a staple in the Queen Anne community.

In 2014, Scott took over as sole proprietor of the Blue Highway. Then in October 2021. Scott sold the business to the store Manager at the time, Josh Williams.

Many employees over the years have worked at Blue Highway, pouring their love and energy into it's walls and community. Blue Highway would not be where it is today without the dedication and passion from it's workers. These employees created lasting bonds and networks that are still going strong today.

Scott Cooper's Farwell:

Message to Blue Highway & Queen Anne Community from former Owner Scott Cooper.

"I am excited to introduce you to Josh Williams. As of October 1, he will be taking over ownership of Blue Highway Games! Josh has been with BHG for 2 years now, and I am confident that it will be in good hands. He will continue to offer a welcoming environment for people to explore the world of board games, while adding a lot of energy and ideas of his own.

We have had amazing support from the community over the past 14 years. I’m sure I speak for all small business owners in thanking you for every time you choose to visit us. Play games, spend time with friends & family, and enjoy life!"
