Meet the Owners

Josh and Kyndra Williams

Blue Highway transferred ownership to the Williams in October 2021.

We are beyond honored to be Blue Highway's new owners and incredibly excited to be joining the network of small businesses in the Queen Anne neighborhood and Seattle at large.

Josh and Kyndra were both raised in Puyallup, Wa, and then moved to Seattle for college in 2015. Josh is a UW graduate and Kyndra is a SPU graduate. The Emerald City won their hearts; they have lived in the Seattle area ever since. Their dog Ginger sometimes can be seen at the store but she generally prefers the comfort of home.

Since childhood, Josh and Kyndra have both loved playing board games, each experienced a childhood full of game nights with family and friends. Their light hobby turned into one of enthusiastic collecting in their young adult years. A family member of Kyndra's introduced her and later on Josh to Blue Highway. Years later after a major career change and a leap of faith, Josh was hired at Blue Highway in 2019; starting as a Store Associate and becoming Manager in 2020. When former owner Scott Cooper decided to explore selling Blue Highway, Josh and Kyndra could not pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity.

We are dedicated to working hard to continue Blue Highway's legacy and fostering its strong community relationships. Our main focus as small business owners is to have a positive presence in the neighborhood of Queen Anne and the city of Seattle at large. We are passionate about showing up for our neighbors where we can and providing a safe, cozy, and welcoming space for all to enjoy. Board games are all about gathering around a table in community and togetherness whether with our families or new faces so it is our goal to grow this model of relationship beyond the gaming table. We firmly believe that if we take care of the community, they will in turn take care of us.
