Thursday Chess Nights: 6-9pm                                                                  

Thursdays: 6-9pm

 

We have now extended our hours on Thursdays and will host a weekly chess night.  At some point this may evolve to include more structure with tournaments, leagues, or ladders, but at first we just want to keep it informal. Whether you are an enthusiast or a beginner, we invite you to stop in and find other people to play with.  Adults & kids welcome.  Bring your own board please.

 

Learn Cribbage!  Learn Mah-Jong!                                                             

In April we are going to extend our Monday night hours and teach two popular games. Event times for each night are 6 PM-9 PM.

Mondays April 7th and 14th - CRIBBAGE: Come and learn how to play this 17th century 2 player game [can be played with 3 or 4 as well]. If you already know how to play come and join in and help start up an on going Cribbage night. If you have a board bring it along.

Monday April 28th - MAHJONG: We will teach you the Hong Kong version of this old (perhaps ancient) Chinese game. We welcome all levels of players. Please RSVP for this event by calling the store: 206-282-0540.


Pink Godzilla: Dev Kit League                                                                    

1st & 3rd Sunday: 2-5

 

Pink Godzilla is a local Seattle company that has created a card game about making video games (I know, the irony...).  They will be hosting an ongoing league at our store the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month from 2-5.  Experience is not necessary.  Members of the design team will be here to teach people how to play!  

 

WizKids Tournaments                                                                                  

WizKids (another local game company) is supporting tournaments each Saturday afternoon from 1-5. We’re starting these on April 5th with a sealed Pirates Tournament.

Game of the Month: "Train Games"                                                            

Saturday Nights: 7-10PM

We finally played Railroad Tycoon and loved it. We were so excited that we decided to make April “Train Month”. Railroad games are a popular sub-genre ranging from quick playing TransAmerica, to best-selling Ticket to Ride, to Critically acclaimed Railroad Tycoon, to the classic Empire Builder.
